Weekly homework consists of daily reading aloud to a grown up from a school reading book, practice of times tables and practice of the weekly spellings using the Look, Cover, Write, Check method (see homework folder).
Various homework projects may also be set around the termly topic.
Welcome to the Autumn Term in Eagles. In our first topic we will be learning all about Pirates and this will lead on to further work about coasts after half term. We will be completing lots of creative writing about PIrates as well as applying spelling, punctuation and grammar skills to all our work.
In Science we will be exploring sounds.
We have lots of activities planned including a Maths week, a Cinema trip and our Abbey Carol Service.
We have a very busy term ahead!

Please support your child with homework activities and ensure it is handed in on time.
It is also essential for your child to read from their reading book every day – preferably with you. If you would like some ideas of how to extend your child’s understanding of the texts please come and see us for some ideas.
