Forest School is an learner-led process that offers ALL learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences, in a natural environment.
Here at Sherborne Primary School we consider it vital that children are given a chance to shine in different ways, and in different environments. We have a fully- trained Level 3 qualified Forest School leader who takes small groups of children. They will take part in a variety of forest school activities, such as using tools safely, invertebrate hunts, plant and tree investigations, bushcraft, building dens, using ropes and knots, making shelters, fires and cooking, games/team building; imaginative play, storytelling, natural art, and much more.
